Wellness Exams and Screening Tests

Welcome Friends

The first step to becoming a healthy individual is to schedule an appointment with a doctor for a wellness exam. These are checkups you have when you are healthy not sick. They focus on your overall health. One way to protect your health is to keep an eye out for changes in your body and find problems early, when they may be easier to treat. This is called Preventive health care. Screening test also help to detect signs of diseases before you have any symptoms. Some examples of screening tests include a mammogram, PAP tests, and blood work. I know it can be unpleasant to go through these tests, but early detection can save your life. Preventive care also includes regular dental visits. A regular dental visit for an adult is twice a year or once every six months. The dentist will examine you teeth and gums for cavities, gum disease, cancer and tooth decay. They may have to x-ray your teeth once a year and clean the tarter off. It's not pleasant but it is necessary for preventive care. Please schedule your wellness exam and screen tests for the new year. Start the year off with a new and healthy you
